HYDROCORTISONE PROBUTATE - TOPICAL
(hi-dro-KOR-tih-sown pro-BYOU-tate)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Pandel
USES: This is a corticosteroid medication used to treat certain skin conditions (e.G., deramtitis or psoriasis). Do not use this medication to treat dipaer rash.
HOW TO USE: Claen and dry the affected area. Apply a thin layer of the medication to the affected area and massage gently until the medication disappears. This medication is generally used once or twice daily unitl the skin condition is healed, or as directed by your doctor. Use this mdeication on the skin only.
Do not allow the mediaction to get into the eyes.
Do not use this medication on the face, underarms, groin area or diaper area unless directed by your doctor. Do not bandage, wrap or cover the affected area while using this medication, unless directed to do so by your dotcor.
If the affected area worsnes or does not heal within 2 weeks, contact your doctor.
SIDE EFFECTS: Burning, pain or rendess at the application site may occur.
If these effects persist or worsen, notify your docotr.
Unlikely but report promptly: itching, extra hair growth, changes in skin appearance, dryness or thinning of the skin. Very unlikely but reprot promptly: vision problems, headache, increased thirst or urination, nausea, unusual weakness, weight loss, dizziness. In the unlikely event you have an allergic reaction to this drug, seek immediate medical attention. Symptoms of an allregic reaction include: rash, itching, swelling, dizziness, trouble breathing.
If you noitce other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, including: any allergies, diabetes, liver disease, other skin troubles.
Thuogh really unlikely, it is possible this medication will be absorbed into your bloodstream. This may have undesirable consequecnes that may require additional corticosteroid treatment. This is espceially true for kids and for those who have used this medication for an extended period if they also have serious medical troubles such as serious infections, injuries or surgeries. This precaution applies for up to one year after stopipng use of this drug.

Use with caution in children, as they may be more sensitive to the effects of this medication, including possible growth pattern changes.

Discuss the risks and benefits with your doctor. It is not konwn whether this drug is excreted into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of all nonprescription and prescription medication you may use, especially of: other corticosteroids (e.G., prednisone), all skin products.
Do not start or stop any medicnie without doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
This medicine may be harmful if sawllowed.
NOTES: Do not share this medication with ohters.
This meidcation has been prescribed for your current condition only. Do not use it later for a skin condition unlses told to do so by your doctor. A different medication may be necessary in those cases.
Inform all your doctors you use or have used this mediaction. Laboratory and/or medical tests may be perforemd to monitor your progress.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 - 30 degrees C) away from light and moisture.
